in many Newport organizations and activities, including our neighborhood associations. This background informs our discussion of the five areas of focus.
During the past two years 20 community forums
were hosted by ALN.
The Alliance for a Livable Newport is a diverse group of residents. Membership is open to any person, business or civic group.

Meet Win Smith, Historic Hill Representative
Win and his wife Susan both graduated from Bucknell University and were married in 1961.
Win's career as a sales and marketing executive was in both the computer and telecommunications industries, working primarily from NYC. After retiring in 2000, Win and Susan moved to Newport from Westport Connecticut. Newport actitivities include; president of The Hill Association; active member of the Rotary Club of Newport; member of Trinity Church; volunteer at The Museum of Yachting, and member of the English Speaking Union. His Maritime Captain's License has given Win the opportunity to drive the Newport Harbor Shuttle, during the past five Summers, for Old Port Marine Services. Win and Susan enjoy traveling, to visit their children and grandchildren in Maine and North Carolina, and especially to the UK when possible.
